Virtual Phone Numbers


It is important to separate work from home life. Grand Central from Google is currently free. They provide a service with a virtual number which will ring to any US number of your choosing. It will pass on the caller’s phone number as part of the caller-id information, announce the call, and give you an opportunity to accept or refuse the call. Voicemails are e-mailed to your e-mail account.


Accessline



Accessline is the grandfather of personal numbers. They support of all of the above features, plus VOIP, and a virtual calling card so that return calls appear to come from the Accessline number rather than your true mobile phone number. Accessline supports multiple ring options, caller announcement features, If you are a Costco number, join through Costco.com. There is a substantial discount. They also offer Virtual PBX systems for small and medium size businesses.

Innoport


Innoport offers similar services starting at $9.99 a month. I do not know very much about this company.
